Hey Guys,

Earlier we learned how to move and copy objects by using the Move and Copy command from the Modify panel.

Now we will learn how to erase objects. So, let’s started.

Erase command is a very important and useful command in AutoCAD. This command is placed in the Modify panel in the Home tab. Erase command is useful in AutoCAD for erasing or delete lines or any object very easily.

Erase command is placed in the modified panel in the Home tab. Or we can type ‘E’ in the command bar to invoke the erase command.

After selecting the command, select a line or object which we want to erase by ‘direct selection’, ‘crossing window selection’ (right to left dragging), or ‘window selection’ (left to right dragging) method.

Right-click or press Enter key.

Line or object will be erase.

We will see one example of the use of the erase tool. Follow these steps

For example, I want to erase one line as shown.

Select Erase command from the modify panel in the Home tab. Or type ‘E’ in the command bar and press Enter.

Select the line by the direct selection method.

Press ‘Enter’ or ‘Right-click’.

Object or line will erase in drawing.
