How to use Autocad Move command?

Hey Guys,

Earlier we learned all draw panel commands like Line, Circle, Arc, etc from the draw panel.

Now we will learn how to modify drawings from the modified panel commands.

Today we will learn the ‘Move‘ command. So, let’s get started.

This Move command is a very important and useful command in AutoCAD. This command is placed in the Modify panel in the Home tab.

 A Move command moves objects at a specified distance in a specified direction. Move command is very useful for the displacement of the object.

We can select the move command from the Modify panel in the Home tab or type’ in the command bar. Move command will invoke.

Select the object by any method as needed.

Right-click.

Select any base point from which you want to move the object.

Again right-click.

Drag object where we want to place it and click where to want to place or give direction and specify distance.

If I want to move this door object from its place and want to place its right place. Follow these steps.

Select Move tool from the Modify panel in the Home tab. Or Type ‘M’ in the command bar.

Select the whole door object by ‘window selection’ (left to right) method.

Right-click.

Select the base point from which I want to move the object. I will select the corner of the door as shown.

Again right-click.

Drag it from its place and put on the corner.

That’s it. It is finished now..
